Basic rules for measuring blood pressure
- The measurement should always be performed under the same conditions (a certain time of day, multiple measurements);
- Be relaxed, sit comfortably, never stand while measuring;
- Keep your hand still - resting on the table;
- When measuring with a wrist blood pressure monitor, keep your hand at heart level;
- Do not talk;
- Do not clench your palm into a fist;
- Do not move, as the sensor will detect this and report an error;
- Complete relaxation is desirable before and during the measurement;
- If possible, always measure your blood pressure at the same time of day;
