The Biolito pelvic floor muscle stimulator is used for:
Stress incontinence: The group of muscles in the urethra and bladder that prevent urine leakage are severely weakened in cases related to stress (not related to classic "stress"). Sneezing, coughing, laughing and physical exertion can cause uncontrolled urine leakage, because the muscles actually stop working. Biolito helps restore and improve the responsiveness of weakened muscles by stimulating them.
Urge incontinence: The closing mechanism of the bladder and ureter is working well. The bladder feels the need to release urine with a certain movement or most of the time. The bladder muscles become hyperactive, due to the need to urinate, which leads to a situation where the bladder can no longer hold urine, which causes urine leakage.
Mixed incontinence: The urethra and bladder do not work properly, which leads to urine leakage. The cause is stress and hyperactive bladder muscles.
Faecal incontinence: A disorder that affects the functioning of the rectal muscle (external anus sphincter). Controlled evacuation of bowel contents becomes very difficult and even impossible.
TENS pain therapy: In addition to programs to prevent urine and stool leakage, the BioLito electrostimulator also has a special TENS pain program. TENS pain therapy is performed using self-adhesive electrodes (electrodes included in the kit).
