TEUFELSKRALLE Devil's Claw Balm Pullach Hof is an ointment with an extract obtained from the root of a medicinal plant called devil's claw (Harpagophytum Procumbens). The plant from which Devil's Claw Balm is produced originates from South Africa. The beneficial effects of the plant were initially discovered by some tribes, but today its use is also popular in our country.
Devil's claw (Harpagophytum procumbens), also called devil's claw, is a flowering plant from the sesame family (PEDALIACEAE). The species is native to the steppes of Namibia and South Africa. Harpagophytum is also called a predatory plant or a wood spider. It got its name from its seemingly characteristic hooked fruits.
The plant develops shoots up to 1.5 meters long with its underground root system, which wind along the ground, on which surprisingly large flowers develop, which are from soft pink to various shades of purple.
